One for my Father-in-Law (Poppy) in the suburbs of Cardiff, Wales UK.

Overlooking the Motorway M4 from the Traffic Mgt Centra in Cardiff. The Aussie Engineer's planning the UK's transportation systems.

All things in wales is printed / written in English and Welsh. How good are your laungage skills !!!

Visited "Traffic Wales" Centre - Which is a PRivate Finance Initiative (PFI) with Atkins Consulting. RHS is Ron Rimkus (ex DMR) who is Atkins Ops Mgr

Main blding at Cardiff Uni founded 1882 (across from my offices). Had dinner & meetings with its VC & Perm Secretary (D-G) regarding Transport issues

THe eating area at my "Local" pub "The Heath" - 5minute walk from Home and the the meals are good value for money. Sun does even sometime appears !!!

Cardiff's "City Hall" where I attended the Wales Internation Cida & Beer festival on my birthday (Fri 24 Nov 2006). A majestic blding !!!

Cardiff's "Winter Wonderland" by night runs from Mid Nov until around mid Dec, each Year. Similar to New Yorks "Central Park" concept.

The Griffin family is booked to go Ice-skating on Saturday 16 DEc 2006 at Cardiff's "Winter Wonderland" near City Hall and Outside my Govt Offices.

Our house just outside the Street light is for Only Local Traffic - Due to it be protected by End-of-Street pillars in bottom of picture. Very Quiet

Hardend Recycled Plastic "Curb & Chanelling" for rainfall runoff management - Only on the downslop of the road grade but.

Side view of St Monicas School - 10minute walk from house. No school fees but Christian teachings :-) Great value for money !!!

The Girls - Church of Wales school. Ashliegh's teacher is Miss Gubby and Rebecca has Mrs Bates and Miss Meakins (Job Share arrangement).Only 110kid

Access from the groung floor of our House to the "Sun Room" - Which is inclosed to account for the Rain !!!

Bendy buses share the Metro Light Rail corridor - Thus, maximising PT effecieincy - when land use is tight !!(Good idea)

Welsh Assembly Govt has a ploicy of NO company vehicles, but instead hire them - I travelled in this Merc to Nth Wales (A tad better than the Commy !)

Town Planners in Amsterdam put in a Light Rail / Tram Metro in 2002 for CBD - It is nearly impossible to afford to take a Car in & Park.

Amsterdam canel boat system in Holland. A relaxing way to see the sights of this historic City.

Cardiff Castle (in CBD) is currently undergoing restoration works - But, life goes on !!! Traffic and all.

At night in Amsterdam (& removed at daylight) these male toliets "appear" for the comfort of those out in the Cold & Who have had a few drinks !

Amsterdam "other" entrainment during the evening is a rollacoaster in the middle of the CBD - Not far from the "Red light" district !!

A different style of Hotel from that found in regional Queensland.

Visited "The Book of Kells" which relates to the basis of the original Bible. A moving experieince and very cultural.

Visited "Trinity College" which is the major Uni in Dublin - Similar to UQ.

With Christmas coming-up, one of these would be useful in the Driveway :-)

Outside "The Stags" pub in downtown Dublin. A man's got to keep hydrated !!

Caught up with Dr. Brad Jones (School mate) for lunch @ Dublins :"Elephant & Castle" - The chicken wings are World famous!!! Bookings essential

Visited the Dublin Port, where Irish Ferries service to Holyhead in Nth Wales

As seen by the clothing - Dublin is a little "cool" at the moment !!!

A street entertainer in Downtown Dublin - Ireland : I wish my girls could have seen the performance :-(

Travelled to Nthern Wales on Sun 12 Nov 06.Stayed at "The Empire Hotel" in Llandudno found in Mostyn St. I grew up in this St name in Rocky : Spooky !

My Motel in Cardiff City were I lived for the 1st, fortnight in Room 201.
